Ruth’s professional career has included more than 35 years in land management for the oil and gas industry, the majority of that time spent in Denver.  During that time she acquired an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices associated with all aspects of land management and administration.  When her company’s Denver office closed in 2002, Ruth decided to leverage the many similarities between the oil and gas industry and the real estate market by pursuing a new career in real estate.

Ruth had already become familiar with The Bayou City because of extensive business travel here.  She  lists a variety of reasons why she ultimately chose to make Houston her home:

• The growing economy, with its many and diverse amenities (especially the shopping, theaters, and many fine restaurants)
• The convenient access to major travel routes on land, sea, and air
• The cosmopolitan atmosphere, and the opportunity to meet people from many diverse cultures
• Not to mention warm weather, and the warmer hospitality of the people in Houston

Ruth is committed to participating in and giving back to the community.  She has served on the board of directors for condominium associations in both Colorado and Texas. 

Ruth has an appreciation and understanding of the cultural differences and similarities of people here.

Her marriage to a Greek national afforded the need, and incentive for European travel.  She has been to Europe, with Greece as the final destination, 4 times, spending up to 10 months at a time.  She speaks Greek fluently, and remains in close touch with her extensive family there.  She also took Spanish in school, and is enrolled in on-going classes, with the goal of travel to Mexico, Central and South America. 

Ruth has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren, and values the time spent with them, as well as staying in close touch with other family and friends across the US and abroad.
